Community Guidelines
Prayer walls, testimonies, groups and comments on Gather are places to encourage one another. These guidelines apply everywhere people can post.
LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED: pastoral and legal sign-off before public posting launches
1. Be kind and respectful
Encourage one another. Disagree graciously. No insults, harassment, bullying or hateful content about anyone's tribe, ethnicity, denomination, gender, disability or background.
2. No requests for money
Don't ask for money, bank details or donations in prayer requests, testimonies, comments or groups. Giving happens only through a church's official Give page on Gather. Report anyone who asks you to send money.
3. Keep personal details private
Don't share phone numbers, account numbers, addresses or anyone else's private information, including in prayer requests about other people.
4. Be honest
Share real testimonies and genuine requests. No impersonating pastors, churches or other people, and no misleading health or financial claims.
5. Keep it appropriate
No sexual content, graphic violence or content that puts children at risk. Gather is used by families.
6. No spam or advertising
No promotions, links to schemes, chain messages or repeated posts.
7. If someone is in danger
If a post suggests someone may hurt themselves or others, report it. We show crisis resources and our team reviews urgent reports first. In an emergency in Nigeria, call 112.
Reporting and what happens next
Tap Report on any post, comment or profile. You can also block someone so you no longer see each other. Our moderators review reports, may remove content or limit accounts, and tell you the outcome. If we act on your content, you can appeal from the notice we send you.
